All set for the first Wrestler tournament in India

First Hari Ram Indian Wrestler Grand Prix Tournament is all set to organize on 25-27 May in Indira Gandhi indoor stadium in Delhi. It will be the first time that any international tournament in wrestling is going to be organized in India. Tournament organizing committee and Wrestler Federation of India announced in a press conference held in capital today.

In the tournament more than 300 wrestlers will participate and shows their skill in 7 male and female categories. Those who are taking part in the tournament, many competitors have won Olympic and World championship medals on various occasions.

Ashok Aggarwal, chairman of organizing committee said on the occasion that a lot has to be done for the betterment of wrestling in India. First Hari Ram Indian Wrestler is a mega step in the way and it will open a new frontier for young wrestler of country in future. 23 countries of the world have given their consent to take part in the competition. About 300 wrestlers from India and abroad are all set to perform their skill in the tournament.

Organizing committee Secretary Raj Singh said that Indian wrestler union has tried its best and provided all support to organize the mega event, which is first time in India. Organizing committee has been arranged all latest technique and facilities to give a world-class event. Even scoring point and other facilities, which have been provided, is based on latest international parameter, which will support Indian claim to organize such event in the future, he added.

Braj Bhushan Sharan, President Wresling Federation of India said that it is the first tournament in country in which wrestlers from the foreign countries are participating.
