215 was the score that Royal Challengers Bangalore put affront Delhi Daredevils and they made it on the loss of just one wicket. Chris Gayle who actually played a maiden over and started slowly went on to shower 13 sixes all over the ground and made 128 runs, his first century this year.
It was Kohli who took hold of the proceedings when Gayle was adjusting and he too contributed 73 in 53 balls hitting 9 fours and a six. But it was Gayle show that dominated overall, he didn't spared any Daredevils bowler and hit every single of them for fours and sixes. He and Kohli together made a stand of 204 runs and put a massive score of 215 in front of Delhi Daredevils.
Delhi who was playing without Sehwag and Morkel fought hard but the score out of their reach. Every batsman tried to keep up with the run rate and played small but quick innings. But it was Ross Taylor who has struggled throughout IPL for his form who almost took Delhi home with his 55 runs made in 26 balls. Delhi made 194 in 20 overs and fell short by 21 runs.
With this win Royal Challengers Bangalore are at 5th position with 17 points and one game still in hand. Delhi Daredevils are already in playoffs, they are on the top of the table with 20 points and still have one game left.
Chris Gayle was awarded man of the match for his blistering innings.
