IPL 5: RCB player arrested for molesting American woman

The fifth edition of Indian Premier League (IPL) is being hot and spicy day by day due to adding new controversies daily. After Shahrukh Khan scuffle case, its now turn to an Australian player Luke Pomersbach who was arrested by Delhi police on the allegation of allegedly molesting an Indian born US citizen and beating his fiance, leaving him to hospital.

According to media report, Pomersbach, a West Australian left handed batsman who plays for Royal Challenges Bangalore (RCB) and usually mired in controversies, once again indulged in a fresh scandal when a US women has reported a complaint against 27-year old middle order batsman for allegedly misbehaving her and beating her fiance abruptly leaving him to hospital.

According to complainant, the player invited himself for some drinks with the couple and some common friends from Mumbai in their room. She left the men alone and went to her bedroom for catching some sleep but Luke followed her and misbehaved with her.

And when her fiance intervened, Luke allegedly beat him, she added.

The case occurred when RCB had beat Delhi Daredevils and players were celebrating their win in Hotel Maurya Sheraton in New Delhi in late night.

The police has booked him under various sections of IPC including section 354 of IPC (outraging modesty of woman), 323 (hurt), 454 (house trespass) and 511 (Punishment for attempting to commit offences punishable with imprisonment for life or other imprisonment).

The victim told to media that severe pressure is being mounted on her for withdrawing the case but she will not do so.
