Nupur Talwar taken into custody soon after she surrendered before a Ghaziabad court in connection of the murder of her 14 yr old daughter and her domestic help in May 2008. The apex court had said her to surrender before the court and then apply for bail.
Nupur Talwar who was already facing a non-bailable warrant issued by a CBI (Central Bureau of Investigation) special court in Ghaziabad reached around 10.15 at the court premises. Heavy police arrangement was deployed at the court premises and she arrived with her husband Rajesh Talwar. She was taken into the court from a back door.
The apex court turned down her plea for not to arrest and said her to after surrendering she could not get bail then there are higher court where she can approach.
It is noted that the Supreme Court bench, headed by Justice A.K. Patnaik had directed Nupur Talwar to surrender before the court. Bench had said her that she could apply for the bail after surrendering before the court.
Nupur Talwar with her husband Rajesh Talwar is accused in the double murder case of her daughter Arushi and domestic help Hemraj. Hemraj who was initially suspected in the murder of Arushi, was found dead on the terrace of the house.
