BJP asks Yeddyurappa to have patience

In a move to solve the political crisis in Karnataka, Bhartiya Janta Party (BJP) leadership was reportedly considering the possibility of reinstating BS Yeddyurappa as chief minister of Karnataka and was seeking all possible means of making him CM, but due to immense pressure, it has failed to do so.

BJP party President Nitin Gadkari in this regard has appealed to Yeddyurappa to have patience and wait for his positive time.

"The party will take an appropriate decision soon. But BJP will not take any decision under pressure," said Gadakari to media. However, he did not disclose that the decision could not go in the favour to Yeddyurappa due to huge pressure.

On the other hand, in the move to mount the pressure over BJP top brass, Yeddyurappa has sent to almost 70 MLAs in a resort on the outskirts of Bangalore and has sent a notice of a two-day period to take decision in favour and restore him as state's CM.

There are 120 MLAs of BJP including the Speaker, in the 224-member Assembly and Yeddyurappa has claimed that more MLAs are likely to join him on Monday.

"Wait for 48 hours. It is not a deadline. I am sure the party leadership will take a decision", Yeddyurappa said.

Party has promised to him that if the case against him was nullified or withdrawn or he won the case, party would reinstate him on the post of state CM, added the rebellion leader.

Arun Jaitley, one of the top leaders of Central leadership has supported Yedyurappa's stand and argued that he was deposed on the complaint report of Lokayukta in an alleged illegal mining case, which was quashed by state High Court.

"It is not serious issue and would be resolved soon," he said.

Yeddyurappa was made accused in Karnataka's illegal mining case along with Reddy brothers.

In July 2011, BJP forced Yeddyurappa to leave the CM post and made Sadanand Gowda, a candidate promoted by Yeddyurappa as a new CM.

On March 08, 2012, the Bangalore high court has acquitted Yeddyurappa from this case.

Since then Yeddyurappa has been demanding to fulfill BJP's assurance which the party had supposedly made to him.
