Iran's nuclear claim is 'hyped': US

Responding over Iran's nuclear achievement demonstration on Wednesday, the United States of America (USA) called it 'hyped' and said it was neither new nor impressive.

However, US has also added that it will 'learn more on' from the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) inspectors, who are currently in Iran.

"We, frankly, don't see a lot new here. This is not big news. In fact, it seems to have been hyped. This strikes us as calibrated mostly for a domestic audience," an esteemed foreign agency quoted US State Department spokeswoman Victoria Nuland as saying.

Nuland also added that US officials will 'learn more' about the development from IAEA inspectors who are in Iran to monitor the reactor.

She referred Iran's act as the response of feeling unprecedented international and diplomatic isolation.

"I would say that one thing is absolutely clear, that Iran is clearly feeling the pressure of its international and diplomatic isolation," Nuland said.

She also cited that it is possible that Iran is looking for to begin negotiation on seeking nuclear resources.

US also stated that at present, it was unable to understand 'Iran's motive' behind it.

Earlier, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a ceremony unveiled nuclear fuel rods, new generation of centrifuges and a number of radioactive medicines for the treatment of cancer.

He also fed a homemade fuel rod made out of 20% enriched uranium into the core of the Tehran Research Reactor.

Moreover, there is also a speculation that Iran is mulling to stop the selling to oil to six European nations.

On contrary, Iran has reportedly sent a letter to European union to asking it to start the nuke talk.

The EU has not responded over it but confirmed the news of receiving a letter from Iran on this issue.

The EU last month decided to impose additional sanctions on Iran, focusing on its central bank and oil exports.
