South African all rounder Eric Simons will reportedly be replace from Australian pace man Joe Dawes, who played 76 first class matches from Queensland during 1990s-2000, as Team India's bowling coach after concluding India's tour to Australia, media sources from BCCI reported.

According to media reports, this decision has been taken Monday at the board's Working Committee meeting in Chennai where it was decided that the two-years long contract of Eric Simmons would not extend and a new coach would be hired instead.

Eric Simmon became India's bowling coach in January 2010, who worked part time with erstwhile South African India's coach Gary Kirsten.

Gary was not willing to extend his contract after the World Cup 2011, which India won by defeating Sri Lanka, and he left his post.

According to BCCI reports, Joe Dawes will be India's new bowling coach.

The 41-year old right arm pace man Joe played 76 first-class matches for the Australian state team and picked up 285 wickets at an average of 25, but could not get a chance in the national team due to present of superb pace men Michael Kasprowicz and Andy Bichel.

After giving up playing, he became a coach. At present, Joe is Queensland Cricket's player professional development manager.

BCCI has reportedly pointed out that it had already identified the replacement of Simons, who is currently facing criticism because of Indian bowlers' disastrous Test performances in England and Australia where India consecutively loss eight test matches.

Simons was named the head coach of the IPL franchise, Delhi Daredevils, for the 2012 season in December last year. He had previously been Delhi's assistant coach, supporting Australian Greg Shipperd.

Simons represented South Africa in 23 ODIs between 1994 and 1995, before coaching the national side from September 2002 to October 2004.
