A list of 246 hockey players who will be taking part in the inaugural season of Hockey India League has been announced. From this list the 4 franchisees will select players for their team.
Hockey India League will start on 16 December 2012.
The players have been grouped under goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards and are listed according to their base price.
List consists of 34 Goalkeepers of which Holandian player Blaak Pirmin and Jaap Stockman and Spanish player Francisco Cortes have received a base price of US $ 20,000.
Indian defender Sandeep Singh has received the highest base price of US0$ 27, 800 out of 53 defenders listed in the auction list.
58 Midfielders have been listed out of which Sardar Singh of India has received a base price of us$ 27,800.
Out of 98 Forwards 6 players have received a base price of US $ 25,000.
