Mumbai attack: Hafiz hints to talk with Indian investigation agency

Washington, Sun, 04 Nov 2012 NI Wire

In a bid to change the sudden instancem Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Saeed has agreed to cooperate with India's National Investigation Agency, which is expected to carry out inquiries in Pakistan into the deadly attacks.

However it is surprising, as it is believed that he was the mastermind behind the 2008 Mumbai attacks.

According to sources, Saeed has offered to cooperate with investigations, and that he has also written letters to the U.N. and the European Union in attempts to clear his name.

He said, "I condemn Mumbai attack and the innocent lives that have been lost. I don't support this attack or any violence of this kind, but you don't even seem to believe me; I've said it so many times."

It is noted that there has been a bounty of 10 million dollar U.S. on him.

Recently he was in news when he offered humanitarian aid to U.S. victims in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.

We have differences with the American government's policies, but the American people are only human; we are all human. It's not their fault."

However US rejected the offered without any delay.
