Hurricane Sandy has taken more than 90 deaths in United States and Canada, 38 in New York City alone, till Thursday and the number could continue to rise as rescuers search house-by-house.
4.5 million people in 12 states are still without power and hundreds are missing. And it is believed that the storm has cost $50bn (£31bn) loss to US.
This huge storm also referred as Frankenstorm has left residents on the east coast struggling to recover.
New York City and New Jersey have been hit badly. These cities are facing the problem of fuel shortage as well.
Some limited Subway services and bus lines were resumed on Thursday but the fuel shortage and many closed petrol stations are causing long queues and fights.
Sandy hit US Atlantic coast on Monday night, bringing hurricane-strength winds, flooding and blackouts.
Meanwhile the campaigning for Presidential election, which was suspended earlier in the week, has now been fully resumed.
