New Delhi, May 1 (ANI): The Supreme Court on Tuesday rejected the plea of Congress leader N. D. Tiwari to stop the Delhi High Court froming ordering him to undergo a DNA test to prove his paternity in a case filed by Rohit Shekhar.
The apex court ordered the former Andhra Pradesh governor to give his blood sample for a DNA test.
Tiwari had pleaded that he should not be forced to give his blood sample as the entire case was an attempt to malign him.
Tiwari's blood sample is needed to ascertain Rohit Shekhar's claim that he is the former's biological son.
Reacting to the order, Rohit's mother Dr Ujjwala Sharma said: "The court has strict view in this matter. It clearly said that order should be obeyed." (ANI)
