Lahore, Apr 28(ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) is still awaiting an official response from their Bangladeshi counterparts to try and annul a stay order from the Dhaka High Court, that has prevented the latter team from touring Pakistan for a two-atch itinerary this month.
"We really don't know what is happening because in our last letter we had made it clear that we feel that the stay order given by the Dhaka High Court against Bangladesh touring Pakistan can be vacated," The Daily Times quoted a PCB source, as saying.
He said the PCB had requested the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) to keep it updated and share details of any appeal it had filed against the writ petition in the court.
"But the BCB has not made any contact with the PCB on the issue and it appeared as if the Bangladesh team's tour was now a thing of the past," the source added.
The Bangladesh's tour of Pakistan, which was scheduled for later this month, was postponed, after some citizens and former players filed a writ petition in the court claiming that it was not safe for the team to tour Pakistan.
The PCB said it believed the petition lacked merit and had been filed against public interest, which would be unfavorable to cricket. (ANI)
