New Delhi, April 28 (IANS) Azera Rehman, who reports for newswire Indo-Asian News Service (IANS), was Saturday judged one of the winners in a national story-writing competition, organised by the Indian Women Press Corps (IWPC).
Rahman' entry, titled "Letters to my unborn sister", fetched her second prize in the contest that saw participation of 80 women from all walks of life.
The contest by IWPC, considered to be one of the first by any Indian media organisation, was open to women and was thematically centered on the topic of family relationships. The jury members included author and publisher Urvashi Butalia and writer Geeta Hariharan, among others.
Rahman has also won the Most Promising Young Woman Journalist award for the year 2007 by UNFPA.
