Doha, April 27 (IANS) India's Pankaj Advani and Aditya Mehta, the top two seeds, entered the quarter-finals of the Asian snooker championship here Friday.
Advani overcame Qatar's Ahmed Saif 4-0 while National champion Mehta outclassed UAE's Mohd Shehab 4-0.
Also advancing to the round of eight was the IBSF World champion Hossain Vafael Ayouri from Iran who defeated India's Kamal Chawla 4-1.
Advani and Mehta had qualified for the knock-out with an all-win record in the preliminary stage while Chawla won five of the four matches, his only loss being to Afghanistan's veteran Saleh Ahmed.
