Quetta, Apr 27 (ANI): Rejecting the Pakistan Government's 'request' to limit his public appearances and activities, Jamaat-ud-Dawa (JuD) chief Hafiz Muhammad Saeed, who has a U.S. bounty on him, protested against restoring of NATO supplies, in Quetta.
Saeed and the Difa-e-Pakistan Council (DPC), which also protested against the same issue, warned that if NATO supplies were restored they would march towards Islamabad.
They said the resolution of parliament regarding revival of NATO supplies was against the teachings of Islam and they would resist it at any cost, the Daily Times reports.
Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Nazariati chief Asmatullah said, "Rulers are pleasing their master, America, but we will not accept American alliance at any condition," he vowed, adding that due to wrong policies of the rulers the country was passing through crisis and difficulties.
The media, on April 3, had highlighted that U.S. Under Secretary of State Wendy Sherman had stated in New Delhi that head-money of 10 million dollars and 3 million dollars had been announced on Hafiz Saeed and Hafiz Makki respectively, following which the Pakistan government 'advised' Saeed to maintain a low profile as it feared that his continued appearances might provoke a hostile reaction from the U.S.
Saeed, however, has been adamant and refused to accept any such demand, The Express Tribune reports. (ANI)
