New Delhi, April 24 (IANS) Parts of the capital experienced light rainfall Tuesday evening after cloudy skies and strong gusts of wind prevailed for a major part of the day, a met official said.
However, the official added that the skies will be sunny and clear Wednesday.
"Light rains have been reported in some areas. The city received .4 mm of rainfall from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.," said the official of the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
"The maximum and minimum temperatures are expected to hover around 38 and 22 degrees Celsius," said the IMD.
Tuesday's maximum temperature was 37.6 degrees Celsius, average for this time of the year while the minimum was two notches below average at 21.5 degrees Celsius.
The humidity levels wavered between a high of 62 and a low of 27 percent.
Monday's maximum temperature settled two notches below average at 36 degrees Celsius while the minimum was three notches below average at 19.7 degrees.
