London, Apr 25(ANI): The Football Association (FA) expects to name the new England manager before this ongoing season culminates to avoid them from embarrassment of at the Euros.
England is currently in a state of utter mayhem with the squad set to be named on May 10 that is three days before the final Premier League programme by stand-in boss Stuart Pearce.
According to the Mirror Tottenham Hotspurs have still not been approached by the FA about the possibility of hiring away the favorite for the job, Harry Redknapp.
Pearce is planning to name his 23-man squad on Thursday before the last round of league games.
If the FA then names their manager after that date but before the tournament, they risk the new man making dramatic late changes to the squad selected by Pearce.
Pearce believes the players must be told as soon as possible. He said: "I would fully expect, whether it would be me or whether it be the next man, that he would be selecting the squad around that sort of time, because the season ends on the 13th.The players need to know," he added. (ANI)
