Washington, April 25 (ANI): U.S. President Barack Obama has described Secret Service agents involved in the Colombian prostitution scandal 'knuckleheads', as another group of agents resigned.
Obama defended the Secret Service in a pre-recorded interview, saying the agency should not be discredited by a few 'knuckleheads', The Telegraph reports.
"The Secret Service, these guys are incredible," Obama said, adding, "They protect me, they protect our girls - a couple of knuckleheads shouldn't detract from what they do."
Two more agents have resigned for their alleged involvement in the Colombian sex scandal, bringing the total number to nine.
One of the agents is believed to have stayed at the Hotel Hitlon, where Obama stayed during his recent trip.
Speaking about what happened in Cartagena, where prostitutes were allegedly brought back to hotel rooms, Obama said: "What were they thinking, I don't know. That's why they're not there anymore."
Twelve Secret Service agents have been investigated over the incident, along with 12 military personnel.
The incident occurred this month shortly before Obama arrived for a meeting of regional presidents in Colombia. (ANI)
