Peter Andre's 'unhygienic' cafe shop given 1 star by health inspectors

London, Apr 24 (ANI): Peter Andre's cafe has been slammed by health inspectors for having dirty floors and overflowing garbage bins.

The team also spotted chicken being thawed at room temperature, which can encourage germs.

Andre's New York Coffee Club cafe, which he runs with brother Danny, was given one star out of five and told to make "urgent improvements" after the visit earlier this month.

The report added that the 39-year-old singer had also failed to tell his workers about health and safety law at the American-themed cafe in East Grinstead, West Sussex.

The ex-husband of model Katie Price still has plans for a second cafe.

"I am a new business owner and we got a couple of things wrong," the Mirror quoted him as saying.

"However, this has all been sorted and I cannot wait to open the new store in Brighton this year," he added.

The health inspectors are scheduled to revisit the East Grinstead cafe in May. (ANI)
