Karachi, Apr 24 (ANI): Bangladesh is unlikely to tour Pakistan even if the Dhaka High Court gives the go-ahead after four weeks. The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has cited "international commitments" as the reason for the refusal, Dawn News reported.
A BCB spokesperson said the refusal to tour Pakistan is not part of a conspiracy. It is not fair that Bangladesh should go to Pakistan amidst security concerns when it is playing "home series" with other teams on neutral venues, he added.
Bangladesh were scheduled to play one ODI and one Twenty20 in Lahore at the end of April. The tour was postponed due to security concerns and because Pakistan had failed to submit a security plan to the International Cricket Council (ICC).
Had the tour gone ahead, Bangladesh would have been the first international team to tour Pakistan in three years.(ANI)
