Beijing, Apr. 22 (Xinhua-ANI): The third regular meeting of the Cross-Strait Economic Cooperation Committee (ECC) will be held on April 26 in the Taiwanese city of Xinbei.
Representatives of Mainland China and Taiwan will review and assess the implementation of the Economic Cooperation Framework Agreement (ECFA) at the meeting.
According to the Chinese mainland's Association for Relations Across the Taiwan Strait (ARATS), the topics will include the implementation of the "early harvest program," updates on the accomplishments of the ECC's six working groups and negotiations on the establishment of trade offices on both sides of the Taiwan Strait.
Both sides will also share their experience in responding to a changing global economic situation and their exploration of the international market, as well as exchange views on the ECC's future work, the ARATS said.
Zheng Lizhong, convener of the ECC on the mainland and executive vice president of ARATS, and Jiang Yaoping, the mainland's chief negotiator for the ECC, will lead a mainland delegation to attend the ECC meeting. (Xinhua-ANI)
