Bogota, April 22 (ANI): Authorities in Colombia are investigating if any of the women involved in the prostitution scandal with Secret Service agents were underage.
Some of the more than 20 Americans tied to the scandal, a mix of Secret Service agents and members of the US military, could face criminal charges in Colombia if any of the women involved are under 18.
Investigators from the Colombian attorney general's office have questioned employees of Hotel Caribe where the agents stayed.
A Colombian official said that investigators have questioned the taxi driver who drove Dania Suarez, the hooker at the center of the scandal, home, New York Post reports.
The investigators also visited Pleyclub, an adult entertainment club linked to the scandal, to verify the age of the women who worked there.
The official said although prostitution was legal in parts of Colombia, forcinga minor to engage in prostitution was not.
Officials have so far not found any evidence of minors being involved in the incident.
As many as 20 women could have provided sexual services to the Secret Service team who allegedly drank and hired hookers in Cartagena while they were supposed prepare for the arrival of President Obama in Colombia. (ANI)
