Washington, April 18 (ANI): U.S. President Barack Obama is leading his likely presidential opponent Mitt Romney by 47 percent to 43 percent votes in the 2012 presidential elections, according to a poll.
According to Reuters/Ipsos survey, Romney is chipping away Obama's edge in the polls.
The results of the same survey that was conducted over a month ago had shown Obama leading Romney by 11 points, The Politico reports.
More than half of registered voters who were surveyed said that jobs and economy were the most important issues of the presidential elections.
Almost 45 percent to 43 percent voters preferred Romney over those issues, leading to a statistical tie with the president. (ANI)
