Melbourne, Apr 15 (ANI): Brooklyn Decker, who starred alongside Rihanna in her upcoming movie 'Battleship', owes part of her recent success to her ability to produce snot bubbles on demand.
During auditions for the 200-million-dollar sci-fi action fantasy, which is inspired by the classic board game, director Peter Berg wasn't convinced the Sports Illustrated covergirl was tough enough to play the role of physical therapist Samantha "Sam" Shane, who rehabilitates wounded soldiers.
"They thought I was too nice," the Daily Telegraph quoted her as saying.
"I had auditioned for (Berg) four times and on my fifth time ... he told me the only way I was going to get the part was if I created snot bubbles out of my nose, and I had to cry and scream.
"I was, like, 'How am I going to do this in this room?' but somehow (I did) ... and he was, like, 'Ok, the part is yours'. So snot bubbles got me Battleship," she added.
The film, in which tennis star Andy Roddick's wife stars alongside Taylor Kitsch, Alexander Skarsgard, Liam Neeson and pop star Rhianna, tells of an international fleet of ships that comes across an alien armada during a naval war games exercise. (ANI)
