New Delhi, April 12 (IANS) Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar, leading an Indian parliamentary delegation, Thursday left for New Zealand on an official trip during which she will call on acting Prime Minister Bill English.
The Indian MPs will also hold discussions with Lockwood Smith, speaker of the New Zealand parliament.
They will also meet Chief Justice of the New Zealand Supreme Court Dame Sian Elias, and representatives of the Commonwealth women parliamentarians.
The delegation includes MPs Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi, Bhartruhari Mahtab, Radha Mohan Singh, Ram Gopal Yadav and Tarun Mandal.
Secretary-General of the Lok Sabha T.K. Viswanathan and joint secretary P.K. Misra are also accompanying the delegation.
They will return April 16.
