New Delhi, April 10 (IANS) Veteran Bollywood actor and theatre artist Raghubir Yadav will be seen in the role of a grandfather in "Yeh Khula Aasmaan" and says while shooting, he kept his understanding and encouraging maternal grandpa in mind.

"I play grandfather and my personal experiences helped me to play it better. My character in the film reminded me of my maternal grandfather. He always supported me in whatever I did, just like I support my grandson in the film," the actor told IANS.

Made on a budget of Rs.3 crore, about 90 percent of the film has been shot in Bhagalpur, Bihar, and the rest in Mumbai. It is slated to release May 25.

Raghubir was in the capital Tuesday with the film's cast, director Gitanjali Sinha and producer Hemendra Aram to unveiled the first look of the film. An online motivational game was also launched on the occasion.

"Yeh Khula Aasmaan" is Sinha's first film as a director and she roped in newcomers - Raj Tondon and Anya Anand in the lead roles. She has teamed up with them to tell the story of peer presure to score do well in academics and conflicting views between new and old generations.

Trained at the New York Film Academy, Sinha feels that films should be made in such a manner that they reflect the society.

"Despite having one of the biggest film industries in the world, India produces very little truly world-class mainstream movies that are meaningful. I believe in making film that reflect the society and are close to reality," she said

The film portrays a challenging phase of an IIT-aspirant young boy who faces academic failure. It also highlights family problems and how to bridge generation gap.
