New Delhi, April 9 (IANS) The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has started its admission process for two special courses in water harvesting, a statement said Monday.
Admissions are open for -Diploma in Watershed Management and certificate course in Water Harvesting and Management - for the July 2012 session.
"The programmes are meant for learners interested in basic knowledge and skills for water harvesting, conservation and utilization," said the statement.

"It also includes basic aspects of agriculture like soil erosion and its management; integrated farming systems like crop husbandry, animal husbandry, agroforestry, fish farming," it added.
The diploma programme can be completed in minimum one year and maximum four years while the time period for the certificate programme is minimum six months and maximum two years, the varsity said.
