London, April 8 (IANS) A group of British children, while on an Easter Egg hunt, found a hand grenade instead.
Around 25 children - aged between two and five - were at the event, organised by a local pre-school group. The grenade was in the grass just a few feet away from a public car park when it was spotted, reported The Sun.
Stuart Moffatt,34, who was stunned at the grenade's discovery, raised the alarm after noticing a little boy standing on the grenade during the egg hunt near Holford village in south-west Britain's Somerset county, The Sun reported.
"I was shocked. It's the last thing you could possibly want to find with children about... The boy who was standing on it just thought it was a rock. It could have been a lot worse, especially with children around."
Moffatt immediately informed the egg hunt's organiser about the grenade and they moved the children away from the scene.
Police called in the bomb squad to explode the device.
