Muscat, Apr 6, (ANI): The mystery surrounding the death of an Indian businessman in Muscat has deepened with one of employees committed suicide on Thursday.
Mohanan, who was a trusted employee of V.V. Vasudevan, was found hanging from the ceiling of a store in Muscat's South Al Hail suburb yesterday morning.
He belonged to Kerala and the police reportedly found a sucide note written in Malayalam in which he said,"I [Mohanan] couldn't bear the loss of Vasudevan and also being held responsible by some people for his death, so I am going..."
Vasudevan, who was a building material trader, was found dead in his house ten days ago.
"Mohanan was very close to Vasudevan and had even looked after his house in the absence of the Indian businessman," an employee of the late Indian businessman told Gulf News, on the condition of anonymity.
He added that as the family had left for India to perform the last rites for Vasudevan, they had temporarily given Mohanan the responsibility of running the business. (ANI)
