Karachi, Apr 6(ANI): The Pakistan Cricket Board's (PCB) coach-hunt committee, headed by Intikhab Alam, will meet on April 7 to review applications of contenders for the post of national team's bowling coach.
The post has been lying vacant after Aqib Javed resigned to become UAE head coach.
According to reports, the PCB has received 12 applications for the post, including that of four foreign coaches and also of former Test pacers Jalaluddin and Mohammad Akram.
The PCB might hold a training camp during the 'off-season' before the tour of Sri Lanka.
"A long training camp may be organised for the players," the Express Tribune quoted an official close to the team management, as saying.
The board wants to hold the camp as it seems an ideal situation to interact with Dav Whatmore and Julien Fountain.
Whatmore is also expected to meet chief selector Iqbal Qasim today to discuss the possibility of conducting the camp.
"The decision will be made after the meeting. They'll check the availability of the players and also discuss whether to invite budding individuals to the camp or not," the offcial added. (ANI)
