Sydney, April 5 (IANS) Australian Prime Minister Julia Gillard has urged students to be careful on the internet following an incident in which some schoolgirls uploaded a sex-prank videoclip.
Urging schoolchildren to be careful about uploading content on the internet, Gillard described the online video offering sexual favours, posted by five Adelaide schoolgirls, as a "very silly thing to do", Adelaide Now reported.
The five students have been suspended over the four-minute video, which shows three girls in school uniform offering sexual favours for a small amount of money.
"It was a very, very silly thing to do and they're now caught up in the consequences of it," Gillard told a media conference Thursday.
In the clip, viewed by at least 10,000 people in less than 24 hours, the girls say they are offering a public service which would help prevent unwanted sexual attacks on others. They are giggling and do not appear to be serious.
