Zac Efron doesn't think he's 'a heartthrob'

New York, Apr 1 (ANI): Zac Efron has admitted that he "hates" the word 'heartthrob' and doesn't think of himself as one.

The 24-year-old actor made the revelation in an interview on CBS' 'Sunday Morning', Us Magazine reported.

The show's anchor Tracy Smith had asked him what it was like to be a heartthrob.

"I can't explain to you what it's like to be a heartthrob, I don't think I am a heartthrob," the New York Daily News quoted Efron as saying.

"I hate. I hate it. It follows you around, but you don't deserve it. It's like, 'Why?'" he said.

This isn't the first time the former 'High School Musical' star has expressed dissatisfaction with his fame.

"You can't enjoy it or celebrate it; it's not a real thing," Efron told NYLON Guys in 2009.

"The face on the lunchbox and sh*** - you can't share that with your friends," he said. (ANI)
