St. Vincent (West Indies), Mar.13 (ANI): Limited overs specialist David Hussey has said that the uncertainity over player contracts will not affect the performances of players during the tour of the West Indies.
"As a playing group, I think we're unanimous we want more central contracts. They just provide us with a lot more stability and security. In terms of whether it's going to affect performances on this tour, I don't think so," the Herald Sun quoted Hussey, as saying.
"Every time you go out and play for Australia, there is pressure involved and I don't think anyone really looks forward to winning contracts or losing contracts (while playing). It's just about doing your job and winning the game for your team," Hussey added.
Australia have begun their preparations for the five one-dayers against the West Indies with a session at the Arnos Vale Cricket Ground in St Vincent, the venue for the first three matches.
Fast bowler Ben Hilfenhaus was absent as he continued to battle a virus he picked up during last week's tri-series finals. (ANI)
