Queen 'taking style tips from Duchess Kate for Diamond Jubilee Tour'

London, Mar 13 (ANI): Queen Elizabeth is said to have asked the Duchess of Cambridge for advice on what to wear after becoming a fan of her taste for classic styles.

She and Duchess Kate are to meet with Camilla, the Duchess of Cornwall, to co-ordinate outfits for official Diamond Jubilee engagements.

In spite of their age gap, the 85-year-old monarch has even asked her grandson's 30-year-old wife for suggestions on clothes for a military event at Windsor Castle marking her 60 years on the throne.

"Her Majesty has grown very fond of Kate's style and is making plans for her own wardrobe for the Jubilee celebrations," the Daily Express quoted a source as saying.

"It's believed the Queen will join Camilla and in particular Kate to discuss what fabrics they are suited in for certain official engagements and, in particular, is interested in Kate's opinion on what she herself should wear," the source said.

Any discussions, however, will almost certainly have to include Angela Kelly, the Queen's personal assistant, confidante and in-house dress designer.

It is believed that the Queen will join Camilla and in particular Kate to discuss what fabrics they are suited in for certain official engagements and, in particular, is interested in the Duchess' opinion on what she herself should wear.

"There's talk that Kate can contribute with her ideas for the Queen's outfit for the Parade and Muster event at Windsor on May 19, where the Queen will join nearly 2,500 troops and army personnel to watch a colourful parade," the source said.

The three royals appeared to have co-ordinated outfits and all wore blue for an official visit to London's Fortnum and Mason store this month.

Prince William's wife is said to be thrilled by the Queen's approval. (ANI)
