Islamabad, Mar 8 (ANI): The Pakistan Supreme Court has ordered Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to write a letter to the Swiss authorities to reopen cases against President Asif Ali Zardari without seeking advice.
The Supreme Court ordered Gilani to inform the court on March 21 after writing the letter.
Meanwhile, the proceedings of the contempt case will continue, the order said.
Earlier, a seven-judge SC bench, headed by Justice Nasirul Mulk, had ordered Gilani's counsel Aitzaz Ahsan to submit appropriate evidence pertaining to the case, on which, the counsel had submitted the summaries.
Justice Nasirul Mulk said that the documents should have been submitted by the counsel before the starting of proceedings.
Defence and Cabinet Secretary Nargis Sethi informed the court she had been the Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister from December 15, 2008 till January 17, 2011. (ANI)
