Islamabad, Feb 24 (ANI): Pakistani Taekwondo Black Belt holder Ahmad Amin Bodla has broken the world record of an Indian to set a new record of completing the most number of kicks in one hour in martial arts.
Ahmad also broke the previous record of an Indian, Jayanth Reddy, who made 2,982 kicks in one hour in August 2011.
Ahmad had earlier set a record of the 'most martial arts kicks' by completing 225 strikes in one minute, but remained unrecognised at the international level because of the unavailability of proper media. The official most martial arts kicks in one minute using a single leg (male) was 281 set by American Raul Meza in USA in 2011.
The 18-year old young and dedicated boy this time smashed the Guinness world record with a huge margin by striking 6,370 kicks in one hour. He now have to submit all the necessary documents and compiled evidences of record attempt to Guinness World Records for verification, which will take four to six weeks and, if successful, Guinness World Records will provide him with a certificate commemorating his record-breaking achievement.
Ahmad expressed his delight over his success.
"I am very excited after breaking this record for which I have done hard training of two months. Now I am aiming to strike more than 9000 kicks in one hour and soon after Guinness World Records verification, I will start working on achieving my next aim," he added. (ANI)
