Tehran, Feb 22(ANI): An alleged Iranian hit squad used 27 dollar portable radios to hide at least five bombs that Israeli and American authorities said they intended to target Israelis in Bangkok.
A photograph of one undetonated bomb showed the inside of the radio packed with tiny ball bearings and six magnets.
A surveillance photograph shows an alleged hit squad operative, Saeid Moradi holding a radio in each hand.
Forensic photographs also showed an explosive device hidden in a radio allegedly to be used in a foiled attack in Bangkok, ABC News reports.
According to authorities, a bomb exploded in the Bangkok House where Moradi had been staying and he allegedly threw a bomb.
Police said they discovered two unexploded bombs in the house where Moradi and the other Iranians had been staying, including the one shown in the photos.
Bangkok authorities said they also detected over a pound of white military explosive from one unexploded bomb.
Israeli authorities and U.S. bomb experts said the bomb in the photographs is strikingly similar to those used in attacks in Georgia and India.
Iran has denied any connection with the arrests in Bangkok. (ANI)
