Brit delivery drivers take metrosexual turn

London, Feb 20 (ANI): The image of delivery drivers having beer belly, scruffy jeans and T-shirt is vanishing as one in eight dons a shirt and tie for work, a new study in UK has revealed.

The appearance of "white vain man" was highlighted in a survey of drivers' habits by hire firm Sixt.

One in five uses face cream and moisturiser while ten per cent keep lip balm in their vehicle.

Almost a fifth carry a can of deodorant and 13 per cent keep aftershave in their van.

Some hope to woo women on the road - one in 20 keeping condoms in the glove box. Seven per cent even stash a spare pair of pants on board.

But only five per cent admit they still wolf-whistle or beep their horn if they spot a beautiful woman.

"Historically, white van man has had a bad reputation but it's clear he now takes pride in his job," the Sun quoted Sixt UK's chief Paul McLoughlin as saying.

Some bad habits still linger though, as 17 per cent admitting they swear at other drivers and 18 per cent blast their horns when stuck in traffic. (ANI)
