Lucknow, Feb 19 (ANI): Rashtriya Lok Manch (RLM) chief Amar Singh has said that he would continue to address election rallies as scheduled despite a tragic fall from a chopper.
"Fortunately, the doors were left open as it took off; he (pilot) was about to close it, but I lost my balance and fell on my head on the ground. But, I will continue to address election rallies," Singh told reporters here after medical treatment.
The incident occurred when Singh was alighting from the chopper after it landed at Kharela village where an election meeting in support of party candidate was organised.
The Uttar Pradesh polls are being viewed as an opportunity for major parties to re-establish their foothold in the country's fifth largest and most populous state.
A new 403-member state assembly will be elected in March. The poll results will broadly indicate trends for the 2014 general elections. (ANI)
