|Redknapp ready to manage England for the Euros |Sports[London {London, Feb 17(ANI): Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has said he is willing to manage England on a part-time basis for the Euro 2012 while remaining in charge of Tottenham.
"Part-time? In the short term, it's possible for the European Championship. In the long term, it's not possible to manage a club team and a national team," The Daily Mail quoted Redknapp, as saying.
He said it is going to be a very tough job for any manager to look after two teams simultaneously.
"It's difficult enough to manage in the Premier League without having to worry about the England team as well. You want to be watching England players and you want to be watching the opposition," he said.
The Football Association (FA) has not ruled out the idea that someone like Redknapp could take control for this summer's tournament in Poland and Ukraine, and then return to his club.
The FA hasn't approached anyone till know for the England manager's job. Stuart Pearce remains interim manager of the squad.
Redknapp said it would be unfair to leave Spurs when it is in such a good position. He said he wants to concentrate on the club for now.
"This week, we have Stevenage in the FA Cup, then we have Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea. It's an important time for me," Redknapp said.
"To walk away now, when we're in such a good position, it wouldn't be fair on Tottenham," he added. (ANI)
