Washington, Feb 17 (ANI): Meryl Streep and Julia Roberts will take on the mother and daughter roles in the movie adaptation of Tony Award-winning play 'August: Osage County'.
Streep will play drug-addicted Violet Weston and Roberts her eldest daughter, Barbara Fordham, in the project, according to Deadline.com.
Tracy Letts' dark comedy chronicles the drama that ensues when Roberts' character and her sisters reunite with their mother at the family home, Contactmusic reported.
The film is expected to go on floors later this year. (ANI)
