London, Feb 15 (ANI): A male couple in Thailand were awarded the Guinness World Record for the longest kiss this Valentine's Day after locking lips for an exhausting two days.
The kissing marathon kicked off at Thailand's Pattaya beach town on Sunday, with the winning couple finally parting lips a record 50 hours later on Valentine's Day, the Telegraph reported.
Competitors could not move from their space of one square metre and were only allowed to drink water and food through a straw.
The rules stated that participants were not allowed to use the toilets in the first three hours of the competition and after that, could only go for a bathroom break if accompanied by a referee.
The previous Guinness World Record for the longest kiss was held by Lakkana and Ekkachai Tiranarat, a Thai couple from Bangkok at 46 hours 24 minutes and 9 seconds
The winning couple also got a diamond ring worth 100,000 baht (2,125 pounds) and hotel gift voucher worth 200,000 baht (4,250 pounds). (ANI)
