Nancy Dell'Olio hopes friendship with Stuart Rose turns into eternal love

London, Feb 12 (ANI): Nancy Dell'Olio, who has been dating former Marks and Spencer boss Sir Stuart Rose, is hoping that their friendship could soon blossom into a lasting romance, sources have said.

According to sources, the 50-year-old property lawyer enjoyed "a few dinners" with the millionaire businessman during breaks from her gruelling schedule with the Strictly Live tour.

Speaking from her dressing room, the 'Strictly Come Dancing' star also confirmed the rumours of her seeing Rose.

"Yes, Stuart and I have had a few dinners, but that's all so far," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

The pair have been spotted at The Ivy Club together and in St Tropez last summer.

A source close to the ex-girlfriend of former manager of England football team Sven-Goran Eriksson suggests that she is keen to build on their friendship.

"It's very early days but they have been on a few dates and they have been in touch on the phone. Stuart has invited Nancy to Harry's Bar in Mayfair a few times, where he is a member. Nancy says they get along very well and that he's a lovely man," the source said.

Dell'Olio has told her friends the romance is on and off because she has been working hard on the tour.

"They haven't seen each other for a while because Nancy is so busy with work," one friend said.

"She is hoping that come the end of February when the tour finishes, she and Stuart can rekindle what they started.

"It's early days, but Nancy is very determined when it comes to getting something she wants," the friend said.

The lawyer is single following an affair last year with 72-year-old theatre director Sir Trevor Nunn and a short-lived friendship with chef James 'Jocky' Petrie, 34, which ended on New Year's Eve. (ANI)
