Apple iPad 3 to be unveiled 'in early March'

Washington, Feb 10(ANI): Apple will unveil the iPad 3 in the first week of March, sources have said.

US technology blog, All ThingsD quoted sources, as saying that Apple will announce the next iPad at a special event early next month.

The blog also claimed that Apple would, subsequently, put up the device for sale, The Telegraph reports

Apple updates its products annually and the iPad 2 was announced on March 2 last year.

Blogs had also circulated a photograph showing the back of the next iPad.

The picture suggested that the new tablet had already entered production and sparked off rumours about the unveiling of iPad 3.

A technology blog, The Verge, quoting "people familiar with the product", said that the new iPad will have double the screen resolution of the iPad 2 and would be about one millimetre thicker.

"Our insiders tell us that so far the screen is not out there yet. That could mean that the finished product has not been signed off or that it is being kept top secret," a website that received the photo," a website, RepairLabs said. (ANI)
