London, Feb 6 (ANI): Mike Tindall, who made headlines for kissing his ex-girlfriend in a club days after his wedding, has revealed that he was wearing invisible braces when he married Zara Phillips.
The 33-year-old rugby player has Invisalign braces, which are so discreet that no one noticed he was wearing them when he married in front of the Queen and other senior members of the Royal family in July.
He is getting the work done on his teeth by Graham Tinkler, a specialist in the treatment which attaches a brace to the back of the front teeth, slowly moving them one at a time.
Patients can wear the braces permanently for up to 15 months.
Tindall said that as a child he had refused conventional braces, a decision he regrets. He even endorsed the product on the company's website.
"Refusing braces to straighten my teeth as a child has been a big regret for me," the Daily Mail quoted him as saying.
"Then as a full time rugby player I knew traditional braces were not an option but Invisalign allows me to carry on playing sport and you won't even see them in my wedding photos," he added.
The Duchess of Cambridge is believed to have had a similar procedure done by French dentist Didier Fillion before she married Prince William.
Other celebrities including Kelly Brook and Sadie Frost have also had work done by Fillion.
The decision to fix his teeth comes as a surprise because Tindall said that his mother-in-law the Princess Royal asked him to have plastic surgery on his nose. (ANI)
