Hendricks encouraged parents' divorce

London, Feb 5 (ANI): Christina Hendricks has revealed that she was unfazed by her parents' divorce and even encouraged them to split.

The 36-year-old actress's mum Jackie and father Robert experienced a rough patch when she was a teenager, parting ways just after she'd finished her education.

Hendricks confesses that she's glad that they separated.

"(They split) when I graduated from high school. It didn't affect me - they hadn't been getting along for some time and I was just like, 'Just get a divorce. Save yourselves'," the Daily Express quoted her as telling Cosmopolitan magazine.

However, the 'Mad Men' star, who wed Geoffrey Arend in 2009, insists that she still has faith in successful partnerships.

"I believe very much in marriage and in working hard for it. My husband's parents are still together and I really like that. But I wouldn't have wanted my parents to stay together if they weren't happy," she added. (ANI)
