Melbourne, Jan 26(ANI): World number two Rafael Nadal has said it won't matter if he loses or wins in the Australian Open semi-final, as it is still a good start for him, considering the problems he faced during the end of last year.
"For me, it is very important and a happy moment to start the season. Win or lose, it is a good start considering the end of the season I had last year with many doubts," said Nadal in his column for the Sydney Morning Herald.
He expressed his excitement over reaching the Australian Open, a grand slam, which he won in 2009 but since then injuries, had plagued his progress during the tournament.
"Here I am again in a semi-final of the Australian Open. After the past two years reaching the quarters of this tournament and not being able to finish well in the matches. I had to retire in 2010 against Andy Murray and last year got injured after the third game against David Ferrer. Finally I am playing again in a semi and I'm very excited about it," he added. (ANI)
