Welbeck expected to sign new deal with Man United

London, Jan 24(ANI): Manchester United striker Danny Welbeck is expected to pen down a new 42,000 pounds-a-week five-year deal with the club within next two weeks.

Welbeck scored the winner for United in their 2-1 win over Arsenal at the Emirates on Sunday.

Some reports have suggested that United's original offer, which was more heavily linked to bonuses, has been twisted over the last seven days to achieve a more basic-salary deal, The Sun reports.

He is now in line to pick up around 37,000 pounds-a-week with further add-ons for appearances and scoring goals.

He was originally offered 27,000 pounds-a-week before bonuses. (ANI)
