New Delhi, Jan 24 (ANI): The Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Thailand, Yingluck Shinawatra, will be the chief guest at India's 63rd Republic Day parade on Thursday.
A ceremonial reception will be held at the Forecourt of Rashtrapati Bhavan in honour of the Thai Prime Minister on Wednesday. The visiting dignitary will later in the day lay a wreath at Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi's samadhi.
Shinawatra, who became Thailand's first woman Prime Minister in August last year, will be meeting President Pratibha Devisingh Patil, Vice President Mohammad Hamid Ansari and External Affairs Minister S.M. Krishna during her three-day state visit to India beginning today.
The Thai Prime Minister will also hold delegation-level talks with her Indian counterpart Dr. Manmohan Singh on Wednesday. Several agreements are expected to be signed between the two nations during the delegation-level talks. (ANI)
