Washington, Jan 21 (ANI): US State Department spokesperson Victoria Nuland has said that Washington wanted to grant Islamabad appropriate time for dialogue, with the intention of resolving issues affecting both the countries.
She said US diplomats are in contact with Pakistan while its parliamentary committee is reviewing the relationship between both the countries, adding that civil assistance to Pakistan would continue, The News reports.
Pakistan is involved in its internal matters at present, she added.
US-Pak ties soured following the raid that killed former al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden in May 2 in his Abbotabad compound, and worsened further with the NATO attack that killed 24 Pakistani soldiers in November last year. (ANI)
